.......Born in 1982, in Yerevan, Armenia. Started painting from early childhood using various matters and objects at hand to create images on different surfaces. During school years attended painting courses at the School of Art named after H. Danielyan. The later professional education has been interrupted due to different reasons, until entering the Armenian State Pedagogical University named after Kh. Abovyan in 2003; graduated with a Master's degree in painting and graphics, in 2009. Now and again, generalization of the sketches made in different periods forms the conceptual harmonious functioning of the reality, super-reality and artist's personal identity, and acts as accompanying consciousness. Vand paints only with oil. According to him, he does not alter the images, which appear like a flash of light and are a powerful source of inspiration. He confides to the time the questions arising from his world-perception and keeps hold of every possible source of truth. Folding the pages gifted by the time and intertwining with the discovered thinkers he accepts the surrealist living within and entrusts him the palette. Three of Vand's works has been presented at the IX Tashkent International Biennale of Contemporary Art in 2022.
